Chateau La Gontrie
Château
La Gontrie is a wine producing château, owned by Jean-Louis
Rives
and his Australian wife, Nola. Both, fluent in english, are always
happy to answer your questions and help you to find the best way to
visit the region.
The
sixteen hectare vineyard is situated on a gentle slope exposed to the
south, only fifteen minutes drive from Bordeaux.
The
house was once a coach house where horses were changed and passengers
lodged overnight on their way to Bordeaux. There are 3 recently
renovated cottages called: le Pigeonnier, les Grands Mères
and
le Magnolia.
