Chateau la Gontrie is an ideal base to discover all the beauties and treasures of Bordeaux and its region. You will enjoy all the modern comfort of a fully self-catering holiday house set in a calm lovely hilly countryside on a family owned winery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The wine maker and owner Jean-Louis (bi-lingual in English) and Nola (his Australian wife) will be delighted to share their passion for Bordeaux and its region and will be happy to help you make your holidays a most enjoyable experience.<\/p>\n

You can relax on this 11-hectare property, surrounded by the gardens, vines and forest<\/strong> of Ch\u00e2teau la Gontrie. Less than 50 meters from the holiday house there is a large swimming pool area (secured for children) with a shared heated\u00a0 pool of 12m x 6m. This haven of peace is only 20 minutes from Bordeaux.<\/p>\n

Description of the holiday house: Le Relais\u00a0: 2 bedrooms \u2013 2 to 4 guests\u00a0:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The house Le Relais \u2018s fa\u00e7ade was built with the typical sand stone of Bordeaux<\/strong> which is part of the main building facing West. This bright and colorful house<\/strong> has all the assets of a modern house, free Wi-Fi internet access,<\/strong> sofa, TV comfortable beds, well equipped-kitchen.<\/p>\n

The ground floor consists of a large living room and dining room<\/strong>, a separate kitchen, a laundry<\/strong> and a toilet.<\/p>\n

On the first floor<\/strong> a landing leads to: a parental room<\/strong> with a bed of 1,6m x 2m and a twin bedroom<\/strong> with 2 beds 1m x 2m Each bedroom has its own ensuite<\/strong> (shower, washbasin and toilet)<\/p>\n

The Relais\u2019s garden is equipped with a barbecue, a table and garden chairs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finally you can enjoy relaxing around our secured heated *swimming pool : 12m x 6M<\/strong> shared between our 4 holiday houses.<\/p>\n

*large fenced off area and child proof lock system on the front gate, we heat the swimming pool from mid April to Mid October if the texterior temperature is above 18\u00b0C.<\/em><\/p>\n

Staying on a family owned vineyard you will benefit from a free tour of the vineyard, winery in english and a free wine tasting of our 6 different wines (<\/strong> This visit and wine tasting takes about 1hour and a half<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Passionate about their region, Jean-Louis, Nola and Andr\u00e9a (their daughter) will be very happy to share their local knowledge and their favourites places with you to<\/strong> help you discover the best of the area.<\/p>\n

This is an ideal destination for a family holiday or to share with some friend<\/strong> in a spacious and self-catered holiday house. The beautiful green surroundings in the middle of the vines will help you to relax and experience life on a family Bordeaux winery.<\/p>\n

In the grounds there is a ping-pong table, a volley ball area and swings for the children<\/strong>. We also provide free bicycles to ride to our local bakery<\/strong> (800meters) for the croissant lovers or to go and get some oysters (from the Bassin d\u2019Arcachon) on Sunday morning<\/strong> in the village.<\/p>\n
